Materials
Instructions
Step 1. Gather your supplies.

Step 2.

Monkey- Paint a yogurt bottle brown and let dry.

Step 3.

Cut an oval from the tan foam sheet for the monkey's face and a slightly larger oval for his belly. Glue the pieces to the painted yogurt bottle. You will need the help of an adult when using the hot glue gun.

Step 4.

Glue on 2 wiggly eyes, a small brown Pom for the nose, and 2 more poms for the ears.

Step 5.

Make a tail for the monkey by wrapping a brown fuzzy stick around the base of the bottle.  Bend the end of the fuzzy stick to look like a tail. Secure the tail to the bottle with the glue. You can draw a mouth on the monkey.

Step 6.

Giraffe- Paint a yogurt bottle yellow and let dry. Once dry, paint rectangular brown spots all over the bottle.

Step 7.

Cut ears and a small oval out of yellow foam. Glue the pieces to the face, as shown.

Step 8.

Glue on 2 wiggly eyes, and a small brown pom for the nose. Create horns for the giraffe, by gluing pieces of cut fuzzy sticks to the head. Finish the horns by gluing 2 small brown poms to the end of each fuzzy stick. Draw a mouth on the giraffe.

Step 9.

To make a mane for the giraffe, fold a brown fuzzy stick several times, like an accordion, and glue to back of the bottle.

Step 10.

Elephant- Paint a yogurt bottle light gray and let dry.

Step 11.

Cut ears and a trunk from a sheet of gray foam and glue to the bottle.

Step 12.

To finish the elephant, glue on 2 wiggly eyes. Draw some details, including wrinkles on the trunk.

Step 13.

Hippo- Paint a yogurt bottle dark gray and let dry.

Step 14.

Cut out an oval from pink foam for the nose, making 2 bumps on a long edge of the oval for nostrils, as shown. Cut out a pink oval for the belly and two small rectangles from white foam to make the teeth. Glue the pieces on the bottle.

Step 15.

To finish the hippo, add eyes, and ears cut from gray and pink foam. Draw the nostrils and mouth.

Step 16.

Your animal collection is now complete.  Use your imagination to think of other fun animals you can create using the yogurt bottles and other materials.
